We’re looking for a Senior Product Owner to help shape the future of Jamf’s security platform. This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, driving new product features that protect our customers in the endpoint security and macOS space.
It’s a transformative time at Jamf — you’ll be working on AI-driven solutions, delivering immediate impact, and helping us bring more value to our customers. You’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineering, while also mentoring Product Owners and driving process improvements across the team.
This role is perfect for someone who loves technical challenges, wants to take initiative, and enjoys owning short-term roadmaps with visible results.
What you can expect to do in this role:
- Drives and facilitates relationships with engineering teams and stakeholders to create and maintain the Product Backlog by continuously defining user stories, prioritizing backlog items, and evaluating scope
- Maintains and synthesizes cross functional team’s records of development status and backlog priorities in project tracking software (e.g. Jira)
- Directs and inspires multiple engineering teams to build the most valuable product, in the smallest shippable increments, with measurable high quality, to fulfill Jamf’s vision
- Defines acceptance criteria for each assigned product increment and validates outcomes during and after delivery
- Works with Product Managers and Engineering team(s) to break down work into increments small enough to plan and estimate with high confidence
- Defines Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and suggests metrics for monitoring and usage
- Deep understanding of the technology stack, architecture, and technical constraints of the technical product to make informed decisions and guide development efforts.
- Documents and Guides technical integrations and dependencies
- Acts as the final decision maker to define what is in and out of scope for a product sprint
- Identifies, communicates, and mitigates when possible the risks to their product development plans
- Participates in Scrum ceremonies and events
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in assigned areas of responsibility by frequently communicating with customers and stakeholders in order to serve as the voice of customer for engineering teams
- Mentors and coaches other Product Owners on the core product owner responsibilities and about Jamf customers, products, and operations
- Leads efforts to improve Product operations, collaborating with Product Managers and Product Leadership
- Lead cross portfolio collaboration to develop, deliver and maintain software in working with senior stakeholders in both product and engineering.
- May perform individual duties of a product manager to bridge the gap between business objectives and product development.
- Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures
What we are looking for:
Required skills and knowledge:
- Minimum of 5 years working with, leading, and motivating teams
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant Product Owner experience, with a demonstrated track record of delivering quality products
- Bachelor's Degree
Preferred skills and knowledge:
- Experience as a member of a complex team, such as distributed/remote or international
- Minimum of 5 years delivering product in an Agile development environment
- Minimum of 5 years working with the Atlassian software suite
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering)
