Join the team and create the future of customer experience together.</p><p></p><p>The successful candidate will provide commercial legal support to Genesys’ sales and channel organisations in the EMEA region, focusing on France. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial transactions with an emphasis on complex technology transactions, and particularly SaaS agreements. This position will report to the Managing Corporate Counsel for EMEA. </p><p>  </p><p><u>Key Responsibilities</u> </p><p></p><ul><li>Support Genesys sales growth in EMEA (but focused on France) by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of agreements with a primary focus on cloud services and SaaS, channel partner agreements, software license and support agreements, and professional services agreements. </li><li>Provide commercial and general legal advice to the business, including providing advice to internal stakeholders in connection with company processes and procedures. </li></ul><ul><li>Supporting RFP responses (particularly in France) from a legal perspective. </li><li>Keeping abreast of the latest legal and regulatory developments relating to cloud-based software solutions (with a particular focus on France), and knowledge sharing with legal team members, as well with as the security, compliance, revenue and finance functions.  </li></ul><ul><li>Regularly contribute to and refine Genesys’ templates, playbooks, and guidance documents. </li><li>Develop and maintain a set of template documents adapted from Genesys standard templates to comply with French law.</li><li>Work with other internal subject matter experts (security, revenue, finance tax, IP, etc) and occasionally external counsel to deliver the required outcomes on contract negotiations.</li></ul><p></p><p><u>Required Skills</u> </p><p></p><ul><li>Law Degree from an accredited law school in Europe. </li><li>Licensed to practice as a French avocat </li><li>4-5 years’ PQE in the TMT team of reputable law firm, or equivalent in-house experience working with SaaS agreements. </li><li>Strong communication, negotiation, and contract drafting skills. Fluent French (written and spoken) is essential, as well as a high level of proficiency in English (written and spoken). </li></ul><ul><li>Consistent good judgment and ability to apply legal knowledge to help create practical business solutions. </li><li>Ability to work well under pressure with diligence, organization, and minimal supervision, and provide practical advice to clients. </li><li>Ability to manage a diverse and complex workload while maintaining priorities and proactively anticipating issues. </li><li>Demonstrated experience and skills in managing a volume of large and/or strategic agreements and a suite of agreement templates through collaboration tools. </li></ul><ul><li>Must be flexible and able to adapt to changes and deadlines. </li><li>A self-starter who operates well in a fast-paced environment that places a strong premium on integrity, excellence, execution, and teamwork. </li></ul><p></p><p><u>Desirable skills</u></p><p></p><ul><li>Strong substantive knowledge of intellectual property laws.  </li><li>Knowledge of competition law in a technology context. </li><li>Additional languages (particularly German or Spanish).</li><li>Experience of negotiating SaaS agreements with financial institutions or the public sector, and familiarity with the regulator requirements relating to outsourcing to cloud-based service providers.</li><li>Good knowledge of data privacy aspects of providing SaaS services, ideally including Hébergeur de Données de Santé requirements</li><li>Dual qualification in another jurisdiction in the EEA would be an advantage.</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p>If a Genesys employee referred you, please use the link they sent you to apply.</p><p></p><p>About Genesys:</p><p>Every year, Genesys orchestrates billions of remarkable customer experiences for organizations in more than 100 countries.
