From the beginning, we provide candidates with an authentic look into how UA Brands embraces their skills and perspectives, all in ways that continue to set us apart.    ABOUT THE ROLE As a member of the Corporate Loss Prevention/Risk Management team, the Corporate Safety and Compliance Manager provides safety leadership and support for all UA work locations (including Distribution-Fulfillment Center, Retail Stores, and Corporate office) to help minimize the potential for employee and visitor injury, property damage and other appropriate risk management reduction that drives a culture of safety throughout the company.   WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Own the Safety and Security Audit/Inspection Processes throughout UA/Uniform Advantage Brands Distribution-Fulfillment Center.
  • Facilitate Audits/drills to proactively identify and mitigate safety issues and ensure regulatory compliance, including appropriate reporting.
  • Create and implement and manage safety training/certification programs specific to UA job functions/work locations, environmental safety audits/ remediation and ongoing process improvement, emergency response programming, coordinate OSHA and other regulatory compliance. May also oversee security staff/contracts as assigned.
  • Design and Deliver site-specific training (such as emergency response drills and MHE training at DC) and related record
  • Support Retail Store managers with Safety Training, Incident Response, and Improve Safety Awareness.
  • Lead all incident investigations, including RCA, and incident follow-up meetings.
  • Manage security processes and assigned personnel at the distribution-fulfillment center.
  • Partner with appropriate human resources managers on OSHA record keeping and worker's comp matters.
  • Report safety audit metrics, trends, and outcomes (performance) to all stakeholders. 
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
  • Demonstrated, detailed knowledge and have (2-4 years) experience in warehousing practices and procedures, including safety procedures, equipment operation/training, and computer system skills. Prefer additional broader experience including retail and corporate office locations.
  • Current OSHA 30 and/or OTI510 Certification. Experience with OSHA 1910, 1926 - Material Handling, NFPA 101, Basic WC/GL, Basic Georgia Security Standards, OSHA Recordkeeping.
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of direct experience in the supply chain/retail industry or 4 years of experience in warehouse/supply chain setting.
  • Knowledge of incident management processes, investigations, and ability to perform standardized follow-up.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements/laws and compliance/reporting related to OSHA, Workers Comp, general safety and security provisions.
  • Current First Aid Certification.
  • Working knowledge of the full Office 365, including Forms, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to develop action plans in response to Root Cause Analysis and After-Action Reviews in response to poor audit performance and communicate those effectively to stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, and the ability to complete tasks efficiently and consistently.
  • Ability to think adaptively, plan and problem solve, and be willing and partner with SMEs, as needed.
  • Ability to communicate and interact well with others, including demonstrated leadership.
  • Communicate confidently and professionally to and with all levels, both orally and in writing.
  • Drive programs through partnership.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and flexible team player
  • Strong analytical, process, and computer skills.
  • Willingness to acquire skills/certifications to serve the business.
