The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team:

Raytheon is seeking a Deputy Program Manager (DPM) to support an established portfolio that delivers new and enhanced capabilities and sustainment/maintenance support for several operational systems/services using DevSecOps standard practices within Space Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (S-ISR).

The selected candidate will support the Program Manager (PM) with program performance including day-to-day program implementation, managing proposal, budgetary estimates and other tasks required by the PM. The DPM must understand how to lead a Software Development program using agile concepts to deploy new capabilities into Operations.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Assist in managing program Risk and Opportunities, facilitate mitigation & capture strategies
  • Monitor weekly control accounts and total program cost/schedule performance
  • Lead root cause analyses into cost/schedule performance anomalies
  • Engage with Product Owners to author variances, and develop mitigation plans
  • Facilitate ongoing cost and schedule planning activities
  • Manage business operational cadence to enhance efficiency
  • Support PM in prioritizing Product Owners and Program Support in all matters pertaining to business operations
  • Limited travel in support of business implementation and growth requirements
  • Act with PM authority, when delegated

Aurora, CO (onsite) - relocation is not available for this role

Security Clearance:
An active and in-scope TS/SCI U.S. government issued security clearance is required for consideration. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s in science and a minimum of 8 years of prior experience or equivalent experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
  • Experience managing/developing Agile SW Development teams/programs
  • Experience guiding systems development and/or design
  • An active and in-scope TS/SCI U.S. government issued security clearance is required for consideration. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Program Management Certification(s)
  • Experience with proposal management activities (ROMs, ECPs, Gate Reviews)
  • Experience working Earned Value Management System (EVMS) implementation while course correcting technical teams to support customer goals
  • Experience supporting root cause / corrective action activities
