We're excited to continue solidifying that foundation as we are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing team in a hybrid role in Tampa, Florida.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Lead, support, and complete all facets of vendor payables process for specific profit centers on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
Complete tasks associated with the premium accounting transaction cycle. Learn all accounting aspects of the agency management financial reporting systems.
Learn and complete all tasks associated with financial accounting, - including but not limited to transactional accounting, month end close process, and development of internal control policies and procedures.
Assist with month-end close activities as required.

Bank Reconciliations
Account Reconciliations
Other functions as assigned.
Master all corporate guidelines including the Brown & Brown Accounting Guidelines.
Promote teamwork, support, knowledge sharing and a positive attitude in the department and office.
Participate in training opportunities to remain current on industry information, new product development, legislation, coverages, and technology including professional development and continuing education.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Proficient with MS Office Suite Products (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Industry software experience a plus
Insurance background a plus
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Good analytical abilities.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
