Position Summary
Under the general supervision of the Director, Foster and Community Youth Initiatives (Director), the Support Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the administrative and technical objectives for program effectiveness serving the Guardian Scholars Program functions and needs. In support of these efforts, the Support Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support for day-today operations, planning student support activities, and serving as the front desk attendant. The Support Coordinator also may oversee student employee supervision and timekeeping. The incumbent should have the ability to learn various university policies and procedures set by each department and is responsible for the implementation and execution of these policies and procedures independently. FLSA: Non-Exempt (eligible for overtime)Anticipated Hiring Range: $4,058 per month (Anticipated hiring rate is at the minimum of the classification salary range)

Minimum Qualifications
Entry to this classification requires a fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices, as well as an ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. Additionally, incumbents are expected to have a thorough knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation and be able to clearly communicate. Some positions may require a knowledge of business mathematics beyond basic arithmetic. The ability to use and quickly learn new office support technology systems and software packages is also a prerequisite. These entry qualifications would normally be obtained through a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents combined with several years of related office work experience Required Qualifications Experience:- Experience in an administrative support position, either in an academic, administrative, or program office, while providing exceptional and professional customer service, coordinating events, and performing standard business math.
- Experience with complex projects with a broad, visible impact that involve effective collaboration across units.
- Proficient experience using standard office equipment and software programs (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Creative Cloud, Zoom, etc.).
- Experience and the ability to handle confidential information, interpersonal interactions at all levels, and highly sensitive interpersonal situations.
- Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and productively, with general instructions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and external constituencies, both verbally and in writing.
- Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Demonstrated ability to apply independent judgment, discretion, and initiative to address problems and develop practical solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain the workflow of the front office and anticipate upcoming deadlines, events, and tasks.
