About the Position
AGS Tacoma is looking for a Repairs Technician to join the team! Repairs Technicians maintain the Big-Ticket Items (BTI) and fleet repairs, deliver traffic control products to clients, provide technical support to Sales, Purchasing, Customer Service, Marketing and all On Street Service (OSS) departments.

Responsibilities
- Do minor repairs on company trucks, including both work trucks (up to 2-ton) and Truck Mounted Attenuators (TMAs) (International, Freightliner and Mack).
- Supply branches with support, repairs, and technical support
- Provide technical phone support, trouble-shooting and training on all traffic control products
- Ensure all paperwork is to corporate standards and completed in a timely manner
- Movement of trailers using forklift and/or truck when necessary
- Inspect, maintain, and repair traffic control equipment (message boards, light towers, safety devices)
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on AGS vehicles and trailers
- Prepare equipment for deployment and ensure it meets safety standards
- Deliver equipment to and from job sites as needed
- Coordinate with operations and yard teams to keep projects moving
Qualifications
- Post-secondary Diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology or related field is an asset.
- Mechanical aptitude or hands‑on maintenance experience (automotive, equipment, fleet, or similar) is required
- Ability to undergo and pass a pre-employment drug, alcohol and fit test. *As this is a safety sensitive position, we have a zero tolerance policy for use of marijuana (medical or recreational). Fit test includes ability to lift up to 40 lbs, climbing ladders/stairs to access equipment, etc.
- Organized, reliable and safety focused individual
- Proficient computer literacy with Microsoft Office 365: Word, Excel, and Outlook are required.
- Occasional after-hours work may be required to complete on-site repairs for clients.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Ability to hitch, tow and back trailers.
- Ability to travel to Oregon and eastern Washington when necessary
