Job Purpose

 

As the Quality Control Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in managing and ensuring the quality of our products, which is essential for customer satisfaction. You will lead a team of QC professionals, providing key performance indicators and maintaining our Quality Management Systems. Your efforts will directly impact the quality of our products and the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

 

•   Manage all aspects of the raw materials and final batch testing processes, adhering to standard quality procedures to meet specifications.
•   Coordinate QC resources to meet the needs of both internal and external customers.
•   Establish and enforce processes and standards within the QC team to minimize batch adjustments/hits, managing the escalation process when necessary.
•   Promote the quality system within the team, ensuring alignment with our quality philosophy, statement, manual, and procedures.
•   Develop and implement quality assurance procedures and systems to enhance and sustain manufacturing quality.
•   Support customer and internal audits, ensuring the team adheres to quality standards and systems.
•   Generate quality-related information by preparing necessary reports and maintaining records.
•   Provide assistance, advice, and information to customers, suppliers, sales, and internal departments concerning product quality.

Level of Autonomy

 

As a Quality Control Supervisor, you will have a high degree of autonomy in various decision-making areas:

Determine whether to scrap a batch, how to rectify a batch, or whether to use or reject a raw material, making significant monetary decisions independently.
Be responsible for hiring and termination decisions, in collaboration with HR, having full autonomy over staff management.
Submit proposals for capital equipment and manage the budget, including overtime and laboratory supplies, with some decisions requiring prompt action.
Proactively manage costs and continuously report on progress.
 

Job Requirements

 

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in production, manufacturing, or quality control; or 10+ years of experience with no degree.
In-depth knowledge of quality assurance lab activities and procedures, with technical expertise in coatings.
Strong supervisory skills, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and SAP.

Compensation and Benefits

 

Annual Salary:  $79,000 to $88,000 depending on experience. 
Annual Bonus:   7.5%
