How you will be rewarded!

Working in Madison, WI our Study Technicians:

  • Pay Rate: $23/hr. After initial training period (based on performance) $.50 increase.

  • Full-time daytime hours available. Once fully trained you can take advantage of our flexible start times as early as 6:00am or as late as 8:00am, will require working some weekends and holidays.  

  • Relocation Assistance: We support your move to join our team!

  • Holiday and overtime with supplementary compensation.

What you will be doing:

As a Study Technician you’ll apply your scientific curiosity in researching the effectiveness, safety and toxicity of drugs in early development animal research studies.

  • Maintaining the highest standards of animal care and welfare in accordance with the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International (AAALAC).

  • Handling and restraining animals

  • Administering test items

  • Collecting biological samples

  • Performing clinical observations

  • Collecting and reviewing data in accordance with the Good Laboratory Practice Regulations (GLP) and standard operating procedures

  • Organizing study related activities and data

  • Working in a fast paced, team environment

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in veterinary technology or related program OR Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science, Biology, Wildlife Studies, or related life science field OR 2+ years of college in related Sciences field AND 1-2 years of hands on large or small animal care in laboratory/research or farming operation.

  • AALAS Certification is preferred but not required-we can help you obtain this!

  • Prior animal handling experience preferred.
