Purpose:
The Recruitment and Retention Specialist is responsible for managing the full recruitment cycle and implementing employee retention strategies to attract top talent and foster a positive work environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring the company hires high-quality candidates and retains valuable employees, contributing to a stable and engaged workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary Duties:
• Lead full-cycle recruitment for various positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring candidates.
• Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent through job boards, social media, and networking events.
• Coordinate with department managers to assess staffing needs and align recruitment efforts with organizational goals.
• Administer and maintain the applicant tracking system (ATS) to track candidates and streamline the recruitment process.
• Conduct pre-screen interviews, reference checks, and extend offers to selected candidates, ensuring timely and effective hiring.
• Design and implement employee retention programs to improve job satisfaction and reduce turnover.
• Analyze turnover data and exit interviews to identify trends and develop actionable retention strategies.
• Collaborate with leadership to create a supportive and engaging work environment that foster employee growth and job satisfaction.
• Coordinate employee recognition programs and engagement activities to strengthen morale and loyalty.
• Implement employee development initiatives, such as training programs, career growth opportunities, and mentorship.
Secondary Duties:
• Track and report key recruitment and retention metrics (e.g., turnover rates, time-to-hire, employee satisfaction) and provide insights to leadership.
• Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in recruitment and retention, bringing new strategies and ideas to the organization.
• Promote the company’s mission, vision, and values to candidates and employees, ensuring alignment with organizational culture. • Manage recruitment-related events, such as job fairs, career days, and networking events.
• Assist with workforce planning, anticipating future staffing needs based on company growth or strategic changes.
• Support ongoing HR initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
Sycamore Services Team:

• Ensure confidentiality of personnel and consumer information.
• Respond to staff inquiries and provide relevant resources.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Job Qualifications:
• Associate's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in recruitment and/or employee retention.
• Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms.
• Familiarity with labor laws and best practices related to recruitment and retention.
Skills and Abilities:
• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Passionate about talent acquisition with a commitment to finding the best fit for the organization and the candidate.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills related to hiring needs.
• Ability to implement effective sourcing strategies for qualified candidates.
• Experience with non-profits.
• An optimistic outlook on challenges.
• Must be able to attend events in central and southern Indiana.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR systems (e.g., Paylocity, Provide).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
