Kleinfelder's looking for you!   Step into Your New RoleKleinfelder is looking for a Senior Construction Manager to fill the position of Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) for an exciting project in the Stockton Area.  The Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) shall be responsible for performance of the quality assurance aspects of overall project design and construction. This responsibility also includes all quality assurance testing on the project. This QAM position is simultaneously responsible for quality assurance, materials testing, and design changes for this construction project.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures work quality conforms to the contract and code requirements
  • Provides quality oversight of fabricators, manufacturers, and suppliers
  • Conducts inspections, testing, audits, and reviews. Reports findings to stakeholders
  • Documents and reports quality of work throughout the project duration
  • Reviews and approves submittals, quality plans, training plans, corrective actions, and test results
  • Analyzes nonconformance root cause and issues notification of nonconformance
  • Approves quality training and certification of site personnel

Deliverables:

  • Comprehensive quality assurance plans
  • Inspection results and findings
  • Internal and external audit documentation
  • Material and laboratory test results
  • Submittal and plan reviews
  • Root-cause analysis reports
  • Corrective and preventative action plans
  • Site-specific training plans and certifications records

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Education and Licensure: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a California Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Have Construction Management and Highway Construction/Infrastructure projects experience, including bridge construction and materials inspection on a large-scale projects.
  • Have 10+ years of related experience, 3 - 4 years project related experience and knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations required
  • Have a minimum of 2 years coordination/supervisory experience
  • Possess excellent communications skills and the ability to identify and communicate - orally and in writing - with a wide range of stakeholders including contractors, VDOT personnel, government officials, inspectors, and the public
  • Have the ability to identify potential projects/clients, and market our services
  • Possess a driver's license and the ability to commute to projects when required
  • Possess a working knowledge of the current software programs utilized in the industry

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Pay Scale Disclosure Law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $120,000 - $170,000 annually.
