Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Global Services is seeking a Senior Project Engineer with Product Lifecycle Management experience to join their team in Long Beach, CA. ​Lead a team of mechanical systems, airframe, avionics, propulsion, configuration management and product support engineering in the deployment of a new product life cycle management tool (IPDM) on the C-17 program. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work with Boeing Global Services (BGS) core process and tools team and IPDM developers to identify scope, schedule and budget required to evaluate IPDM implementation options

  • Utilize program management best practices throughout the project period of performance

  • Develop implementation course of action options that evaluate pros and cons by integrating across the enterprise

  • Lead the team to determine best course of action that optimizes program performance thru daily execution meetings

  • Provide project status to engineering leadership at all levels including manager and up to the vice president level through weekly concise verbal and written communications

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, Project Manager, Integrated Product Team Lead, Production Manager, and/or Test and Evaluation Leadership

  • 5+ years of experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)

  • 5+ years of engineering experience in the aerospace industry

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience leading multi-functional teams

  • Experience working in a fast pace environment

  • Experience working in systems engineering

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Summary pay range: $150,450 – $203,550
