 What will your role look like?

 As a Senior Data Specialist you will contribute to our AI auditing team performing sociotechnical analysis, reviewing and analyzing data, coding and creating audit   audit reports, publications, and other audit-related content.

 The successful candidate will have +5 years of sound experience in AI auditing, AI bias, and/or responsible AI with a focus on practical application. They will be eager to collaborate with a diverse and motivated team and help shape a more ethical future in technology.

Your key responsibilities: 

• Drive the creation and refinement of the s​cientific principles underlying our innovative tools designed to measure, monitor, and mitigate bias in AI systems.
  
• Direct the implementation of quantitative methodologies, including overseeing data collection processes, coding initiatives, metric development, and comprehensive analysis of results.
  
• Utilize advanced statistical tools and qualitative analysis methods to conduct thorough sociotechnical analyses, ensuring audits are robust, applicable, and actionable in real-world scenarios.
  
• Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance existing products and spearhead the development of new solutions that meet evolving client needs and market demands.
  
• Managing project documentation and communicating with stakeholders and clients.
  
• ​Stay updated on the latest developments in AI auditing and research to inform project activities.
  

Requirements

Must-have skills: 

• Fluency in English 
  
• Advanced Degree in Relevant Field: A degree or specialization in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. 
  
• Proven track record of at least 5-7 years in AI, machine learning, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on bias detection and mitigation. 
  
• Deep understanding and hands-on experience with statistical analysis, data collection, coding, and developing metrics. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, and tools like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
  
• Demonstrated experience in conducting AI audits, including the application of both statistical tools and qualitative analysis methods to perform comprehensive sociotechnical analyses. 
  
• Experience collaborating on the development of AI-based products, with an ability to translate client needs and market demands into practical solutions.
