The HRIS Business Analyst is responsible for supporting and optimizing Jefferson’s Time and Attendance application (Workforce Software) and the end-to-end payroll process in Workday. This role serves as a critical liaison between HR business operations and system capabilities, ensuring alignment with organizational policies, pay practices, and compliance standards. The analyst will be accountable for system integrity, process audits, data accuracy, and user training to support a seamless and compliant HR service delivery model.Job Description
Essential Functions
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
- Maintain and manage core Time and Attendance functionality in Workforce Software/ Audit system workflows and payroll processes throughout the timefile lifecycle.
- Support timefile loading and payroll cycle execution to ensure accurate payslip generation.
- Analyze end-user business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
- Conduct detailed paycheck-to-timefile audits and follow up on discrepancies.
- Ensure adherence to FLSA, state, and local payroll and timekeeping regulations.
- Partner with HR Service Center and Finance for issue resolution and escalations.
- Develop and deliver biannual and as-needed training sessions and user guides.
- Communicate system updates and reminders biweekly or as necessary.
- Troubleshoot issues in collaboration with internal IT or external vendors.
- Maintain secure, accurate digital records related to timekeeping, leave, and payroll. Ensure effective categorization, storage, and access of HRIS-related documents.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
AND
Experience:
Minimum of 4+ years HRIS experience, including payroll and timekeeping support (5+ years without degree).
