This opportunity is for a part-time/as needed Activities Aide to provide educational and recreational activities in a Community Residential Rehabilitation (CRR) Program. Apply today to join us in serving the community!

Examples of duties

This part-time position supports therapeutic and daily living activities for individuals in a community residential setting. The role focuses on helping residents learn and strengthen skills for independent living. As a Part-time Therapeutic Activities Aide, you will perform the following duties:

• Direct Care: Instruct individuals in daily tasks such as cooking, shopping, laundry, housekeeping, and personal hygiene
• Life Skills Support: Assist individuals with family interactions, communication skills, transportation use, medication guidance, and money management
• Appointment Coordination: Arrange medical appointments as needed and ensure individuals attend scheduled visits
• Safety and Maintenance: Monitor the residence, grounds, and furnishings to maintain cleanliness, safety, and basic upkeep
• Resident Escorting: Accompany individuals to community activities, programs, shopping, appointments, and home visits
• Team Participation: Report on resident progress, complete documentation, follow regulations, attend meetings, and participate in required training

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Part-time employment, as needed, 0-28 hours per week.
• Work hours will vary. This position is shift work including weekends and holidays.
• On occasion, staff may need to work hours outside of the set work week to complete projects, meet work demands or in the event of an emergency.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Six months as an Aide Trainee; or
• One year of experience working with persons with mental or physical disabilities; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• You must pass a background investigation.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
