<p><span><strong>Hello, 👋🏼</strong></span></p><p><span>We’re looking for a <strong>Mid/Senior Software Engineer</strong> to join us in building a new product: Backoffice 🚀.</span><br/></p><h3><span><strong>🧑💻The Engineering team at large</strong></span></h3><p><span>At Factorial, we are a team of +200 very talented Full-stack developers. We look for smart people who are curious, proactive and have great communication skills.</span></p><p><span>We are not looking for a long list of skills and technologies. Our stack is Ruby on Rails for the backend and React/React-native for the front end.</span></p><p><span>If you’re looking for new challenges in a people-first company regardless where you live, keep reading!</span></p><p></p><h3><span>🎯 <strong>What You’ll Do</strong></span></h3><ul> <li><p><span>Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Designers to build user-centric, maintainable solutions.</span></p></li> <li><p><span>Develop features across the full stack (frontend/backend).</span></p></li> <li><p><span>Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and team rituals to maintain high engineering standards.</span></p></li> <li><p><span>Take ownership of tasks and deliver independently or in small groups, with growing autonomy.</span></p></li> <li><p><span>Debug production issues and contribute to the stability and performance of the platform.</span></p></li> <li><p><span>Work in agile teams with clear priorities and a shared roadmap.</span></p></li> <li><p><span>Learn continuously and contribute to team knowledge-sharing sessions.</span></p></li> <li><p><span>Contribute to planning, estimation, and retrospectives.</span></p></li> </ul><p></p><h3><span>💡 <strong>Your Profile</strong></span></h3><ul> <li><p><span>Experience with at least one modern backend language or framework (e.g., Ruby, Python, Node).</span></p></li> <li><p><span>Good experience with React, JavaScript, or TypeScript on the frontend.</span></p></li> <li><p><span>Ability to collaborate in English (spoken and written) across cross-functional teams.</span></p></li> <li><p><span>A strong sense of ownership and a mindset focused on outcomes, not just delivery: we’re looking for an engineer, not a programmer.</span></p></li> <li><p><span>You’re pragmatic: you know when to ship fast and when to raise the quality bar.</span></p></li> <li> <p><span>You’re a team player who thrives in a feedback-driven, transparent culture.</span></p> <p></p> </li> </ul><p><span><strong>At Factorial, we don't evaluate you by the years of experience you have; we assess your knowledge and skills.</strong> How? About the outcome, you’ll also work with your team members to establish goals and plan a quarterly roadmap, putting special attention to the technical needs of our domain.</span></p><p><span>You will be involved in <strong>customer calls </strong>to learn about their pain points & needs.</span></p><p><span>You will <strong>review code daily</strong> and get feedback on your own code at every pull request, from all team members, including juniors.</span></p><p><span>You will <strong>learn from the entire team</strong>, both on technical topics (performance, architecture…) and core skills, in an environment driven by engineering quality.
