Though 9 in 10 Latino young adults say that a college degree is important for success in life, fewer than 15% age 25 or older hold a bachelor’s degree. Voices College-Bound Language Academies exists to change that. 

 

Voices is a public charter school network with a mission to prepare all students for the challenges of higher education through the context of an academically rigorous dual-immersion program. Every student, regardless of home language, graduates bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish. 

 

Role Summary

The Director of Data and Compliance plays a critical role in developing and maintaining data dashboards that drive data-informed decision-making in a TK-8 dual immersion charter setting. This position ensures the accuracy and integrity of data for federal, state, and local reporting, while also equipping school leaders and educators with the tools and training needed to effectively use data for instruction, compliance, and program development and improvement aligned with the CA MTSS and positive deviance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Data Dashboard Development & Management

  • Design, build, and maintain interactive data dashboards that provide real-time insights on student performance, attendance, enrollment, assessment results, etc.
  • Ensure dashboards are user-friendly aligned with the CA MTSS and positive deviance frameworks, and tailored to the needs of administrators, teachers, support staff, students, families, and educational partners.
  • Integrate multiple data sources, including student information systems (SIS), assessment platforms, and compliance databases.
  • Regularly update and refine dashboards to align with state and federal compliance requirements as well as school priorities.

Training & Data Literacy Support

  • Provide training and ongoing support to administrators and teachers on effectively using data dashboards for decision-making.
  • Foster a data-driven culture by helping educators interpret key data trends and apply insights to improve student learning outcomes.
  • Develop user guides, workshops, and professional development sessions on best practices for data analysis and dashboard use.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure the accurate and timely submission of federal, state, and local reports, including CALPADS, Title I, EL reclassification, special education compliance, and other required reporting.
