Our team drives Akamai's expansion into large-scale government and regulated industry contracts. We build standardized processes, knowledge management systems, and content repositories for procurement success. We enable Akamai to compete effectively for contracts valued at $5M or greater nationwide.

Shape the future of proposal capabilities

Ideally, you'll be process-oriented, detail-focused, and strategically minded. Passionate about building and scaling proposal infrastructure that supports growth targets.

As a Technical Writer Senior Principal, you will be responsible for:

Leading proposal writing efforts for complex government RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs across markets
Building centralized proposal library containing pre-approved solution architectures, pricing models, and technical approaches
Developing searchable content repositories enabling rapid assembly of customer-specific proposals with consistency
Creating baseline proposal templates complying with procurement regulations while incorporating Akamai best practices
Establishing content governance processes including version control, approval workflows, and regular content audits
Implementing content reuse tracking systems to achieve target of greater than 40% reuse
Designing standardized proposal workflows with clear quality review gates ensuring messaging consistency nationwide

Build comprehensive proposal processes

To be successful in this role you will:

Have 8+ years proposal management/writing experience in government contracting environment with technology companies
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills translating complex technical concepts clearly
Possess deep understanding of federal acquisition regulations including FAR/DFARS and government procurement processes
Have proven track record winning government contracts valued at $5M or greater
Be experienced with RFP response management including compliance reviews, content development, and coordination
Have experience building and managing proposal libraries or knowledge management systems nationwide
