Job Description
Senior Cloud Engineer at Blend360
Education:
- Professional Google Cloud Certification is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or Information Technology is required.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) security is required.
- Experience with a Fortune 500 company is preferred.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, and Agile methodologies is essential.
- Experience with Manhattan WMS and Oracle RMS is required.
- Experience with large-scale cloud implementation and migrations from on-premises to cloud is necessary.
- Ability to serve as a Cloud Infrastructure SME is required
Skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Google cloud architecture, infrastructure, and services, including compute, storage, networking, load balancing DNS, and security.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages, such as Python, JavaScript, and Bash.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and tools, including CI/CD, Jenkins, and Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, and implement cloud-based solutions and infrastructure to support Blend360's digital transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate with Program Managers, Application Development, and DevOps teams to ensure efficient deployment and management of cloud resources, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for cloud architecture, infrastructure, and systems.
- Analyze current on-premises infrastructure and applications and develop strategies for migrating to the cloud.
- Design, implement, and manage highly available cloud infrastructure solutions to ensure seamless system performance and resilience.
- Implement cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, data encryption, and vulnerability management.
- Monitor and optimize the performance, cost, and scalability of cloud resources.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Academy and other team members.
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new projects and initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
Day-to-Day Breakdown:
- 70% build cloud roadmaps/leadership activities
- 20% process management
- 10% hands-on technical work
