Job Description

Senior Cloud Engineer at Blend360

Education:

Professional Google Cloud Certification is required.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or Information Technology is required.

Work Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform.
Experience with SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) security is required.
Experience with a Fortune 500 company is preferred.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, and Agile methodologies is essential.
Experience with Manhattan WMS and Oracle RMS is required.
Experience with large-scale cloud implementation and migrations from on-premises to cloud is necessary.
Ability to serve as a Cloud Infrastructure SME is required

Skills:

Comprehensive knowledge of Google cloud architecture, infrastructure, and services, including compute, storage, networking, load balancing DNS, and security.
Proficiency in scripting and programming languages, such as Python, JavaScript, and Bash.
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Kubernetes.
Familiarity with DevOps principles and tools, including CI/CD, Jenkins, and Agile methodologies.
Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Architect, design, and implement cloud-based solutions and infrastructure to support Blend360's digital transformation initiatives.
Collaborate with Program Managers, Application Development, and DevOps teams to ensure efficient deployment and management of cloud resources, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Develop and maintain technical documentation for cloud architecture, infrastructure, and systems.
Analyze current on-premises infrastructure and applications and develop strategies for migrating to the cloud.
Design, implement, and manage highly available cloud infrastructure solutions to ensure seamless system performance and resilience.
Implement cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, data encryption, and vulnerability management.
Monitor and optimize the performance, cost, and scalability of cloud resources.
Provide guidance and mentorship to Academy and other team members.
Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new projects and initiatives.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
