Director, Co-Brand Partnerships leads the development and execution of strategic initiatives to drive increased engagement and performance for the Citi / AAdvantage cobrand credit card portfolio. This role is responsible for designing and leading strategies to deepen engagement, drive product usage, and maximize value from our new and existing credit card customer base.

- Develop and own the annual marketing strategy for existing credit card customers, aligning with business growth, retention, and cross-sell objectives
- Deliver a holistic customer lifecycle strategy, ensuring cardmembers are successfully onboarded, actively engaged, and effectively retained
- Lead customer experience efforts for cardmembers across American and Citi channels
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to define optimal offers, targeting strategies, and customer segmentation
- Establish and utilize KPIs and performance metrics to measure and optimize overall portfolio performance and the effectiveness of marketing programs
- Leverage data insights from American Airlines, Citi, and Mastercard to drive growth and loyalty
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to foster growth and career progression.
- Oversee high-performing teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred
- 7+ years of leadership experience, overseeing cross-functional teams
- 7+ years of experience in marketing strategy, partnership management, or loyalty program management
- Proven success in managing strategic partnerships and driving measurable growth
Preferred Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience
- MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field
- Experience in the financial services, travel, or loyalty industries
- Familiarity with co-brand credit card programs, financial services or loyalty marketing
Skills, Licenses, and Certifications
- Ability to leverage understanding of the co-brand business, airline business, and commercial goals to drive results and innovative solutions
- Ability to be creative and persuasive with internal and external partners to achieve results in an environment of competing priorities, while maintaining a customer focused perspective
- Ability to think strategically, negotiate skillfully, digest complex details, and use sound judgment in making decisions
- Genuine desire to continuously innovate and identify new ways to approach our business
- Ability to work in an environment with clear and aggressive targets that must be met
