The Highmark Enterprise Effectiveness (E2) team is looking for an Engagement Principal to join our scrappy (and growing!) internal consulting team. Our mission is to annihilate inefficiency by developing new and innovative approaches to the way we work across the Highmark Health enterprise. We do this by delivering consulting projects that optimize operating models, deploy new capabilities, reduce drivers of cost level, transform our culture, and stand up new ways of working. Our Engagement Principals have significant autonomy to lead projects and teams, coach team members, and manage the day-to-day client relationships.
This job might be for you if:
- You enjoy solving problems. You love taking on difficult challenges, breaking them down logically, and finding creative solutions. You don’t get flustered easily, even in the face of ambiguity. And if you don’t know the answer, you dig until you find it.
- You can scope a project and lead the team to deliver high-quality work, whether it’s a cost analysis, operating model, business case development, or roadmap development project. You know how to manage risk and stakeholders.
- You bring presence and gravitas to your interactions with others. You can tailor your message to an executive audience and you’re comfortable speaking up on video and in-person meetings. You think an elegant storyboard is beautiful thing.
- You are a relationship builder, whether with your clients or your team members. You strive to create a working environment that enables others to succeed. You love coaching and mentoring your team members.
- You are motivated and driven. You volunteer for new challenges without waiting to be asked. You are curious about the world around you and love to learn new things. You take pride and ownership of your work. Changing healthcare in America is important to you.
To join our team, you need to have solid experience driving change in a structured way (e.g., through an advisory or consulting type of role, investment banking, product managers, and delivering projects on your own). Extra awesome if you have healthcare experience (e.g., provider, plan, or health technology).
*Project managers, this probably isn’t the job for you, but perhaps you have a friend who would be a perfect fit. Send them this link. Thanks!
