POSITION SPECIFICS
Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, a Division 1 and Big Ten Conference Institution, is seeking a General Manager for the Women’s Basketball program, reporting to the Head Coach.
The Chief of Staff serves as a strategic partner to the Head Coach, driving organizational alignment, operational efficiency, and execution of program priorities across all functions. This role is central to ensuring that the program operates at a championship level by integrating basketball operations, recruiting strategies, and internal relations. Acting as an extension of the Head Coach, the Chief of Staff manages key initiatives, streamlines communication, and ensures that staff, student-athletes, and all stakeholders remain aligned with the program’s vision, culture, and competitive goals.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree 6+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None
BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES
This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
SALARY & BENEFITS
The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $61,800.00 - $89,600.00.
