Raytheon's Non-Product Consumable (Industrial Supplies/ Packaging /Chemical/Gas), Travel and Logistics team is seeking a mid-level experienced candidate as Commodity Sourcing Management Professional to develop and manage strategic plans for Raytheon Consumable and Travel commodities. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing Raytheon's strategic business development initiatives that support the RTX's strategy and drives business unit alignment. This position will report directly to the Non-Product Consumable (Industrial Supplies/ Packaging /Chemical/Gas), Travel and Logistics team Senior Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience with non-product commodities, strategy development, and experience in influencing suppliers and their performance while servicing Business customer needs to a high level of service excellence while delivering savings.
This position is currently an on-site position at selected Raytheon facilities.
What You Will Do:
- Conducts strategy and market studies in support of the Raytheon Business commodity needs.
- Significant supplier interaction in collaboration with Business and Programs.
- Managing Supplier's critical path in support of key program milestones.
- Engage with Business EXIM, Legal, Sr. Leaders, Commodity Corporate Councils and Gate Reviews.
- Conducts global market analysis and forecasting, working across the business units to identify RTX opportunities, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Leads sourcing process from RFQ to contract signature including development of supplier Statements of Work (SOW), Supplier down select, bid proposal analysis (source selection, price analysis, etc., and contract negotiations).
- Leads implementation of new business in collaboration with awarded supplier, Raytheon customer, and key stakeholders.
- Supports ongoing execution of new business.
- Identifies internal and external strategic issues that could affect growth and profitability.
- Leads macro-level competitive assessments and peer group analysis.
- Supports the identification of revenue and technology synergies in collaboration with RTX business units and supports their implementation within Raytheon.
- Traveling will be required up to 30% to work with customers and suppliers as necessary.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 5 years prior relevant experience.
- Experience with strategy development, negotiations, internal, across the businesses, external with suppliers.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS) or within other heavily regulated industries such as space, aviation, power generation.
- Ariba experience
- SAP/PRISM experience
- Previous experience with integrated supply chain, including strategic procurement.
- Experience interfacing with senior management on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Power Point)
