CloudHQ is developing in the United States, Europe, LATAM and APAC.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>JOB SUMMARY</strong></p><p>The Construction Director will lead the development of the ongoing Offenbach, Frankfurt CloudHQ construction projects. CloudHQ have a significant pipeline of data centre construction in Frankfurt so the successful Construction Director can look forward to multiple projects in the Frankfurt area. This is a unique opportunity for an exceptional individual.</p><p><br/></p><p>The team in Europe is at an early stage of development so the role offers an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly diligent Construction Director. The role will capture the full construction cycle for the ongoing and future phases of what will be one of the Frankfurt area’s largest data centre campuses when fully constructed. </p><p><br/></p><p>The successful Construction Director will be able to anticipate CloudHQ business needs and develop appropriate contingency measures, drive collaboration across the many stakeholders in Europe and worldwide, working proactively to deliver best in class data centres alongside the CloudHQ Development team.</p><p><br/></p><p>The Construction Director will be responsible for professionally representing CloudHQ’s Development team across multiple functions within the organisation as well as outside of CloudHQ.  This role will be the primary point of contact and communication for construction activities, acting as a leader to the General Contractor, and the primary liaison between CloudHQ and all construction teams.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Principal Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><p>• Lead the construction delivery of a hyperscale data centre campus in the Frankfurt area in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Become the acknowledged onsite construction leader with  detailed knowledge of the project, being central to key decision making.</p><p><br/></p><p>• Manage the onsite construction activities and contractors to deliver the project on time, and on budget. Lead the internal and external teams to a successful delivery, building a collaborative work environment.</p><p><br/></p><p>• Challenge, guide, and work in partnership with our contractors to ensure their proposed construction programme sequencing and work plans are robust, deliverable, and will lead to the onsite installation quality CloudHQ and our tenants require. Be the pathway to feed CloudHQ international best practices into the Frankfurt project where appropriate.</p><p><br/></p><p>• Control a robust and clear project budget including all sub-projects, reporting on a regular basis to other internal CloudHQ functions, and senior management. Effectively track change and cost risk, flagging to the CloudHQ team where appropriate, developing mitigation strategies. Be central to cost and scope variation sign off, collaborating with our legal counsel to author new contracts and contract amendments. Knowledge of the VOB contract form would be an advantage.</p><p><br/></p><p>• Champion health and safety on a daily basis, driving all team stakeholders to consider health and safety as a priority. Support and actively assist the CloudHQ Health and Safety team in driving continual improvement and evolution of our standards. Previous experience working with the OSHA health and safety standards would be an advantage.</p><p><br/></p><p>• Manage the Commissioning (Cx) of multiple phases of handover of data centre technical space to our tenant, coordinating our specialist internal and external resources to a successful handover. Previous experience of the commissioning of high-tech facilities is essential.</p><p><br/></p><p>• Ensure the highest levels of quality assurance / quality control are achieved on the project via rigorous project controls and processes. Plan, coordinate, and manage the deployment of specialist global CloudHQ internal resources (e.g. QA, Cx, etc) as required by the project. Liaise with CloudHQ worldwide colleagues to ensure that best practice is uniform across all our developments, irrespective of geographic location.</p><p><br/></p><p>• Alert senior management via early warnings to all potential project related issues as soon as known. Close out all project issues, pushing all internal and external stakeholder to a successful conclusion.</p><p><br/></p><p>• Liaise with our customers to assist them in the delivery of their preferred solutions into CloudHQ data centres and aid us in being the data centre provider of choice for all our customers. CloudHQ develop to our tenants ever changing needs so adaptability is key.</p><p><br/></p><p>• Be a key part of a team developing data centres across Europe in multiple new locations. </p><p><b
