Job Title
Senior Director DevOpsWhat does a successful Senior Director DevOps do at Fiserv?
You will lead large-scale data engineering, integration, and warehousing projects, build custom integrations between cloud-based systems using APIs and write complex and efficient queries to transform raw data sources into easily accessible models by using the data integration tool with coding across several languages such as Java, Python, and SQL. You will architect, build, and launch new data models that provide intuitive analytics to the team and build data expertise and own data quality for the pipelines you create.
What you will do:
- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, providing guidance and direction in implementing DevOps practices
- Define, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, test, and deployment processes
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline workflows and ensure the efficient delivery of software
- Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, or similar
- Oversee and optimize cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-efficiency and monitor and manage production and development environments, responding to incidents and ensuring high availability
- Implement and enforce security and compliance best practices within the DevOps pipeline
- Lead efforts to improve application monitoring, logging, and error tracking
- Evaluate and recommend DevOps tools and technologies to enhance the DevOps toolchain and stay updated on DevOps trends, tools, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement
What you will need to have:
- 8+ years of proven experience as a DevOps Lead or similar role in a complex, enterprise-level environment
- 5+ years of experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
- Strong expertise in DevOps methodologies, practices, and tools
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline design and implementation
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
- Expertise in scripting and programming skills (Python, Shell, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
What would be great to have:
- Exposure and Expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud platform a strong plus
- Experience with Big Data tools and solutions
- Experience working with PCI Data and working with data scientists is a plus
- Experience in Design and architecture review and Banking and Financial domain
