Job Description

Wish is seeking a flexible and strategic Director, Total Rewards to help us build a world-class compensation and benefits offering. In this newly created role, this Director will partner with executive leadership to design a competitive global total rewards philosophy that works for Wish. The Director will then design and implement a comprehensive strategy for Wish’s total rewards programs, including compensation, global benefits and wellness programs.  The Director, Total Rewards will impact the organization by demonstrating thought leadership on the development of total rewards methodologies and approaches, leading the implementation of new projects and initiatives and directing the service delivery of world class compensation and benefits programs. What you'll be doing:

  • Lead, inspire and build a high performing cross functional team 
  • Develop and align the total rewards philosophy and strategy to the Wish’s goals and ensure it is positioned to attract, motivate, and retain employees. Work with executive leadership to ensure compensation strategy alignment
  • Provide strategic direction, planning, design and financial oversight of all benefit programs domestic and globally, including health, retirement, wellness and leave programs to drive Employee Value Proposition
  • Build and sustain collaborative relationships at multiple levels in the company; work through complex challenges to achieve resolution; build trust by including others and by keeping cross-functional teams focused on the success of the company
  • Manage, negotiate and effectively partner with third-party solution and administrative providers, including benefit vendors, carriers and brokers globally
  • Analyze various benefits and compensation data to identify trends/issues and propose/implement solutions
  • Provides leadership and direction for domestic and global benefits programs such as time off and leave policy review, regulatory changes, pension legislation changes
  • Ensure alignment of incentive/reward elements with culture, strategy and operational imperatives
  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships with Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Legal, HRBP, HRIS and other stakeholders to drive efficiencies and simplify workflows
  • Manage communications to stakeholders
  • Design meaningful wellness programs and events to provide ongoing support for our employees
  • Ensure all programs offered by Total Rewards are innovative and compelling with regard to trends, practices and costs
  • Ensure salary administration guidelines support and align with performance management programs
  • Work with accounting and finance departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with all tax laws and regulations
  • Drive retirement plans and pension schemes globally including leading the 401(k) committee
  • Research market practices and trends to ensure benefit strategy is competitive and aligned with industry best practices
  • Partner with our benefits consultants to ensure compliance with all global requirements related to leave management, reporting and federal, state and local requirements such as ACA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, CCPA, GDPR, and HIPAA

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of progressive compensation and benefits experience and 5+ years of people management experience
  • Prior significant experience in the design and implementation of complex compensation and benefits programs
  • Expertise in global benefits and applicable laws, with a strong focus on CA state regulations and requirements 
  • Highly analytical with advanced Excel skills
  • Exceptionally collaborative and able to advise employees at all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of California and federal employment laws and regulatory requi
