The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As PI&CS Engineering Technology Supervisor you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by manage a group of PI&CS engineers and staff in support of several engineering groups.  The position will work closely with other Engineering and Technology Managers to build and maintain strong relationships, contribute to the development of strategic and operational plans for the organization, maintain and advance the technical competency of the group, participate on engineering committees and teams, and provide leadership, coaching and direction for direct reports.

As a Technology Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Providing engineering resources and support for manufacturing, laboratory, and other areas of responsibility
• Responsible for staffing, workload forecasting, and succession planning within the group
• Work closely with the engineering team to ensure alignment with project objectives
• Contributing to the development of corporate engineering resources and technical expertise through the recruiting, hiring, and ongoing training of group personnel
• Managing the creation, development, and application of technology to meet future business needs
• Identifying and addressing gaps in technical expertise
• Playing a key role in generating and maintaining 3M's intellectual property
• Providing direct supervision to assigned employees through leadership, coaching, training and development, allocating work assignments, review of progress in achieving

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and a minimum of (8) eight years in a private, public, government or military environment experience
• High School Diploma/GED and a minimum twelve (12) experience in a private, public, government or military environment experience

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Prior supervisory or other leadership experience of a technical organization
• Proficiency in at least one control systems engineering technology
• Working knowledge of the SOLVENTUM Engineering organization
• Experience with or knowledge of capital project management systems and tools
• Proficient in the use of corporate software systems such as Workday, Global Engineering Tools (GET), SAP CONCUR, sourcing payment systems and contract language
• Work location:  Remote-United States

Travel: May include up to 20% [domestic/international]
