$108,483.00 - $162,725.00The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSEThe Advancement Strategic Initiatives Director reports to the Executive Director of Simon Business School Advancement and interacts closely with alumni, high-end donors, volunteers, and UR Advancement colleagues to design, manage, and implement a variety of strategic priorities. This includes volunteer programs, special events, stewardship, fundraising initiatives, capital projects, and other activities for the purpose of enhancing and building the experiences of alumni, prospects, donors, and volunteers with the Simon Business School and its regional partners. Travel on behalf of Simon Advancement is required for this position.
RESPONSIBILITY
Campaign Projects & Special Initiatives
- Provides strategic leadership in the identification, development, and implementation of key initiatives that advance Simon’s mission and goals.
- Leads the execution of high-impact projects, including the development of project plans, resource allocation, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Collaborates with senior leadership to develop long-term strategic plans, setting objectives, key performance indicators, and success metrics in support of top philanthropic and volunteer prospects for the comprehensive campaign in partnership with Simon and Advancement partners (e.g. regional, alumni relations, etc.).
- Builds, maintains, and enhances strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and collaboration across the institution. Ensures that Simon alumni are represented and stewarded on regional campaign councils and that Simon messaging is shared and prioritized with Simon prospects and donors.
Volunteer Leadership Management
- Represents the department on institutional committees and working groups, advocating for the department’s strategic priorities and initiatives.
- Identifies, develops strategy and executes engagement initiatives for all levels of volunteer leadership and campaign prospects/donors in partnership with Advancement gift officers, and Simon partners (e.g. Admissions, Office of Student Engagement, Benet Career Center, Experiential Learning, Corporate Engagement, faculty, etc.)
- Oversees reporting and execution of all volunteer leadership boards/councils annual/GEC/multi-year/campaign giving with support from the Assistant Director of Advancement.
- Partners with Executive Director to plan and execute SCAC meetings, high-end donor communications and report on, steward and manage campaign commitments.
- Partners with Executive Director and Sr. Director of Engagement to plan and execute SAB meetings, communications, and solicit, report on, steward and manage campaign commitments.
- Co-manages Simon Women’s Alliance along with Associate Director of Engagement to ensure smooth execution of meetings, events, multi-year solicitations, board giving, co-branding with Women’s Network and various partners across campus.
- Develops programs and outcomes for additional volunteer groups such as China Advisory Council in partnership with the Admissions department and Benet Career Center.
- Partner with gift officers and engagement officers to build a pipeline of volunteer leadership at all levels.
