Job Description
PROJECT MANAGER
We are currently recruiting a specialised Project Manager on a full time basis, based in Dungarvan, Co Waterford. Some travel may be required but not essential.
The aim of the role is to deliver a system that produces time and attendance data for payroll purposes and for building access / security. It is likely that this system will become the personnel database which will also feature employee self-service portals and an intranet. The system will cover multiple sites in multiple jurisdictions, each with their own rules, policies and procedures.
The Project Manager will be accountable to the Managing Director and will liaise with the Payroll Specialist, Senior Manager HR & Administration, Senior Manager Facilities, HR team, other managers and users. They will be responsible for:
- Understanding the current systems in use and the limitations
- Understanding the new requirements and user expectations
- Understanding statutory employment law regulations
- Reviewing the current User Requirement Specification (URS) and altering as appropriate
- Researching suitable systems currently available
- Reporting to management and being involved in the selection and procurement process
- Full implementation management including hands-on involvement configuring the appropriate system
- Overseeing data transfer from existing systems
- Delivering training to stakeholders
- Managing project milestones effectively to agreed timelines
Education:
- Third level Project Management qualification is essential
- Finance / Payroll qualification desirable but not essential
- IT qualification desirable but not essential
- HR qualification desirable but not essential
Skills & Experience Required:
- 5-7 years’ experience with similar project management and implementation
- Good knowledge of IT systems
- Good knowledge of Financial systems
- Good knowledge of HR practices
- Proven track record in delivering projects effectively
- Excellent business acumen and commercial awareness
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent ability to understand and communicate user requirement
- Ability to influence stakeholders
Salary is negotiable and commensurate with skills and experience.
