Job Description Summary

The Facilities Maintenance (Compressor)Technician plays a vital role in the overall success of the client’s business, championing the upkeep, reliability, and safety of all compressed air systems and equipment. This role ensures that facilities and plants run efficiently by performing preventive and corrective maintenance, supporting repairs, and assisting with system installations. Acting as a key contributor to team success, the Facilities Compressor Maintenance Technician drives operational excellence, promotes a safe work environment, and helps maintain the integrity and functionality of facilities critical to business operations

Job Description

Primary Role Qualifications

  • Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of experience in commercial or industrial compressed air systems & vacuum pumps

  • Technical, vocational, or on-the-job training in the repair of compressed air systems such as Garden Denver air compressors and Decker vacuum pumps.

  • Must be proficient in electrical schematics and troubleshooting techniques.

Secondary Role Qualifications

  • Minimum of two to three (2-3) years of experience in commercial or industrial facility maintenance.

  • Technical, vocational, or on-the-job training in the repair of HVAC systems, Plumbing systems, Electrical systems.

  • Must be able to effectively troubleshoot and solve complex problems pertaining to HVAC equipment.

  • Experience with carpentry, drywall repairs, and painting.

General Qualifications

  • Current valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word

  • Technical proficiency with work order management systems (CMMS) such as Corrigo, MTX, Yardi

  • Current EPA certification or ability and commitment to obtain

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required; associate’s degree or vocational/technical school diploma preferred

  • Must pass a criminal background check and hair follicle drug screening.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work requests and projects

  • Professional proficiency in executing maintenance tasks with accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with safety protocols, while communicating and collaborating effectively with team members, vendors, and stakeholders

  • Sense of urgency & personal initiative to succeed

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • This position requires a high level of air compressor and vacuum pump system troubleshooting skills

  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include packaging and handling machinery, large air compressors, plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop equipment, grounds equipment, and HVAC systems among others

  • Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems

  • Ability to review, create, and maintain assigned work orders with associated paperwork within digital computerized maintenance management system

  • Ability to replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, and can paint walls, piping, floors and equipment
