Responsibilities
The Senior Technologist serves as a highly skilled resource for the technical team that maintains and evolves the shared infrastructure technologies that support a wide variety of EMS IT functions. Provides support for all facets of EMS, existing technologies, and environments as well as emerging technologies and environments.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, computer science, engineering or related discipline required. Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirement. Six (6) years of progressively more responsible experience in a technical environment. Demonstrated expertise and excellence in design, implementation and management of complex technical systems and environments. Experience in EMS and computer aided dispatch technologies preferred. Strong familiarity with network/information systems theory and design. Extensive experience working in a technical setting and a strong understanding of workflow, policies, and procedures with regards to production environments. Broad understanding of network/server connectivity, security practices, normal policy, and practice in large, complex enterprises. Ability to develop quality technical documentation. Certifications are desired. Demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems of highly technical complexity. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to develop and maintain quality technical documentation.
