Senior Project Manager Charleroi

In this role, you will be part of the team responsible to conduct a significant investment project, that includes the expansion of an existing plant and implementation of new industrial capacities for the G&T (Generation and Transmission) Business Group of Nexans.

 

The location is based in Charleroi, where the main investment will be conducted, with travels on other European countries for the other parts of the project.

 

Mission

 

Specific Project :

Lead the upgrade project of 3 of our factories (Charleroi, Erembodegem and Calais) to enable production and qualification of HVDC 525 KV cable and accessories with big conductor cross section and long lengths.

Coordinate industrial investment project from initiation to completion, managing resources, timelines, budgets. Collaborate with the local teams to ensure successful project implementation.

Track and control project activities; ensure coordination of activities at all levels within the organization

Identify and mitigate risks which may impact successful delivery of projects

 

Project Management :

- Define projects objectives/workpackage/team/planning

- Prepare a detailed projects plan to schedule key project milestones, workstreams & activities

- Outline budget based on requirements and tracking costs

- Manage the project team

- Report according to company procedures, respond adequately towards deviations and mitigate where necessary

- Responsible with the project team to order machines, materials, resources, components, installation in collaboration with

local and purchasing team

- Minimize the impact on current production and plant output

- Make sure that operations are compliant to corporate and legal rules and regulations

- Prepare of supporting documentation, such as management plans, logistic solutions, services schedule, …

 

 

Change management / People Development:

- Participate in entity/team transcending projects where the specific knowledge from the department is valuable forachieving success

- Provide leadership to personnel by motivation, coaching, simulation and representing their needs

- Allocate and plan job duties

- Acts as a senior coach/mentor for change management
