We are now looking for an enthusiastic Service Engineer/ Senior Service Engineer, Electrical  to strengthen our Field Service team. The role is offered as a permanent contract and will be based in Gdansk, Poland.

 

Your role and responsibilities 

 

As a Service Engineer/ Senior Service Engineer, Electrical your tasks will revolve around executing field service activities on Wärtsilä installations, including LNG installations. Your main focus will be 4-stroke engine automation and control systems, along with other Wärtsilä products. In this role, travel is required, thus we hope you have willingness and flexibility to travel approximately 70% of your working time.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

 

• Carrying out electrical and automation related field service activities on Wärtsilä offshore and onshore installations
• Performing maintenance, repairs, and commissioning activities on 4-stroke engine automation and control systems, along with other Wärtsilä products.
• Troubleshooting by identifying failures, adjusting, attending trial runs, and testing of installations according to performance requirements.
• Ensuring that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines and site procedures.
• Ensuring customer satisfaction with job performance and positive interactions.

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you have: 

 

• B. Sc. or M. Sc. in Electrical Engineering or similar relevant educational background.
• Significant experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of and experience with 4-stroke engines, automation and power generation systems.
• Good command of English and Polish, verbally and in writing.
• Willingness to travel world-wide.
• Readiness to take on service jobs on short notice.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as a team player.  
• Organizational and entrepreneurial skills.
