OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a motivated, talented, and highly skilled Senior UI/UX Designer to join our dynamic and growing industrial design team. As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience for our diverse range of household products, ensuring they are intuitive, engaging, and seamlessly integrated into our customers' lives. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will lead User Interface and User Experience development activities from concept to prototyping and product execution, driving innovation and delivering exceptional user experiences that exceed consumer expectations.

Ninja Design is a team of Industrial Designers, UI/UX and CMF Designers working on products across the brand and categories.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Lead Design & Collaboration:

• Lead the UI/UX design process for household products, encompassing user research, design concept development, prototyping, usability testing and product execution.
• Collaborate with industrial designers, product development, marketing, mechanical & software engineers to define project goals, requirements, and user needs, translating them into actionable design solutions, and driving innovative approaches to elevate the user experience and deliver consumer satisfaction.
• Lead the UI/UX design development tasks, mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning.

1. User-Centered Design:

• Practice a user-centered design approach to translate consumer insights into meaningful product solutions that delight consumers both on an emotional/experiential and functional level.
• Conduct user research and gather insights to inform design decisions, ensuring products are aligned with user preferences, behaviors, and pain points.
• Create user personas, journey maps, and UI flows to effectively communicate UX requirements and guide the design process.

1. Interface and Interaction Development:

• Develop physical and digital user interfaces, including layout, touchpoints, and interaction for consumer products from concept to production.
• Conceptualize and visualize physical and digital design solutions, generating high-quality materials for presentation.
• Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards, demonstrating a high level of knowledge on the full product development cycle.

1. Prototyping and Specification:

• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mockups to visualize design concepts and validate solutions with stakeholders and end-users.
• Articulate and specify design intent for manufacturing by creating specifications detailing layout, graphics, interaction, flow, touch point behavior, etc.

1. Innovation & Strategy:

• Driving innovative approaches through emerging product trends or new technologies and solve complex problems creatively.
• Understand SharkNinja's brands, ensure design solutions align with brand identity and business objectives, and contribute to defining the company's future product development strategies.

ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree required in U/UX Design, Industrial Design, Interaction Design, Human Factor Design, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of user interface development experience for both hardware and digital products. Expertise in UI/UX Design development practices.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
• Proficiency in UI/UX design tools: sketching, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite
