This remote role will serve as Sunrise’s retirement saving plans manager, specializing in the end-to-end design and administration of Sunrise’s retirement savings plans. This individual is responsible for clearly and professionally communicate both verbally and in writing, analyzing large data sets to make tactical and strategic updates and recommendations, evaluating and administrating the plans in order to adhere to legislative rules and regulations.

• Manage day-to-day and long-term administration responsibilities in US based and Canadian retirement savings planmanagement.• Provide strategic direction on potential retirement plan changes or enhancements based on an understanding ofemerging trends and practices in the industry.• Consult on initial and ongoing plan designs, amendments, and restatements.• Manage plan amendments by working closely with Plan Administrator and Fiduciaries.• Audit Payroll to ensure changes made at Sunrise’s plan administrator feed over to Human Resource InformationSystem (HRIS) accurately.• Support the preparation of Summary Plan Description for participants and beneficiaries.• Administer weekly 401(k) payroll wire transfer requests through HR/CFO, Treasury, and Payroll.• Approve transactions (loans, distributions, etc.).• Monitor compliance with plan rules and federal regulations.• Complete discrimination testing and audit support working with external auditors.• File compliance documentation (Form 5500, Safe Harbor notices, Form 1099-R)

• Generate annual participant census.• Ensure day-to-day and corporate wide team member communication is accurate and timely.• Maintain compliance in assigned required training and all training required by state/province or other regulatingauthorities as applicable to this role to ensure that Sunrise standards are always met.• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed throughout this job description are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

• Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Finance, Accounting, Math, Economics, or related field preferred. High schooldiploma or equivalent required.• High degree of experience including recordkeeping, compliance testing, plan conversions, and trust accounting orcomparable experience highly preferred.• High degree of technical/legal knowledge including familiarity with Internal Revenue Code and Employee RetirementIncome Security Act (ERISA) as they apply to qualified plans preferred.• Must be professional, comfortable speaking with external and internal contacts with a demonstrated ability to tailorthe message appropriately to the audience and situation effectively.• Sound decision making competency with the ability to discern how changes may have far-reaching impacts.• Demonstrated ability to convey thoughts and ideas effectively and succinctly via written formats, including emails,letters, and electronic platforms. Maintain professional standards relating to spelling and grammar.• Maintain credibility through professional demeanor, appearance, and presence by modeling standards appropriate toour environment and industry.• Maintain good working relationships with internal partners by exhibiting exemplary interpersonal skills, and adopting aconstructive, solutions-focused approach.• Use sound professional judgment to balance the interests of the organization and customer, understanding and usingavailable resources to mitigate risks.• Proficiency with Microsoft products and applications, including the ability to effectively prepare or review documents,procedures, and reports.• Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and applications, as well as the ability to understand, adapt and adjustresponsibilities/workflows as a result
