As a Senior Manager Project Manager at Capital One, you will drive strategy and execute on high priority projects for the company. You will work with smart and passionate people to deliver results that have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line. General Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Marketing project managers who design, develop, and managing campaign project plans & timelines  in a complex dynamic environment, revising plans to meet changing requirement

  • Leads work planning for project managers that includes estimating scope & capacity needed from team

  • Leads cross-functional routines with leadership, partners & Marketing team members to share project status & escalate risks & dependencies in a timely manner

  • Makes informed recommendations for what the cross-functional Marketing team can take on, recommend trade-offs, and proactively identify future resourcing constraints

  • Day to day oversight of multiple governance processes: monitor, report, and plan process improvement or redesign initiatives; define, establish, and manage process controls; identify process improvement opportunities and implement them through collaboration with other groups such as the Well-Managed, Compliance, Legal & Risk partners

  • Collect, analyze and measure process data, to initiate sustainable business practices and procedures and for reporting to senior leadership and executives; review data for trends and gaps in the process that may require additional review. 

  • Collaborate on project management tools and process enhancements for efficiency and effectiveness

This Associate should bring: 

  • The ability to leverage problem solving and influencing skills with various levels including - senior leaders, peers and performers

  • Successful at partnering cross-functionally to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery

  • Ability to work across the full Marketing delivery lifecycle including partnership with Martech, Strategy, Analyst, Creative & Channel execution teams. 

  • Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project / program efforts

  • Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment.

  • Display a passion for coaching and developing a team of associates 

  • Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience

  • At least 7 Years of Project Management of Marketing experience

  • At least 3 Years of People Management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree

  • PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

  • Experience with Marketing technology

  • Experience in Owned and Paid Digital Marketing

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $177,700 - $202,800 for Sr Manager, Project Management


 

New York, NY: $193,800 - $221,200 for Sr Manager,
