About the role

The Director will apply knowledge of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) processes to provide OneStream support for the businesses. Oversight on the modules within OneStream, ranging from core functionality, account reconciliations, and reporting to new rollouts will be the area of focus. This role will function under the Enterprise Financial Planning & Analysis team to enhance the delivery of planning, budgeting and forecasting for all global business units.  This position will work alongside R&C for all monthly, quarterly, and yearly requirements in order to close and issue reporting.  The incumbent will actively work with the businesses to seek system and process enhancement opportunities across the OneStream capabilities.  The Director will act as a liaison between our end users and our technical team.   

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS                                                                 

  1. Point of contact for the OneStream suite of functionalities for Enterprise and Group Finance organizations.
    1. Actual, Forecast, Plan and Budgeting functionality.
    2. OneStream Reporting
    3. Account Reconciliations (RCM)
  2. Work with the team and leadership to pursue continuous improvement of bettering the user experience and the team’s support experience for the company.
    1. Applies deep subject matter expertise of relevant skill to provide thoughtful analysis and advice to the business, create and execute on highly complex tasks, and actively coach team members in this area
  3. Understand and meet with other SW departments when close / initiatives / projects could impact the OneStream application.
    1. Attend daily close calls to provide support to R&C on the close, FP&A on the forecast and SBS on inbound/outbounds dependent on OneStream
    2. Creates methods, strategic solutions, and thought leadership in this space, while partnering with executives and Senior Leaders
  4. Partner with IT to look forward on the development of the OneStream application and potential impacts to the current environment.
  5. Be the main contact on the enhancement intake process with the Enterprise R&C, FP&A and Group Finance departments to evaluate their requests and develop a timeline on the development, testing and roll-out with the IT/OneStream teams.
    1. Drive the team accountability on supporting and delivering on process improvements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or business-related field.

Preferred:

  • MBA

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • 10+ years  of Finance/ Accounting Experience
  • Experience working in various financial systems and a strong understanding of the SW digital ecosystem.
  • Enterprise Data Architecture Literacy: Understanding the business’ data architecture and related systems, policies, and processes that enable financial data to be maintained, integrated, accessed, shared, and analyzed effectively. Effective problem solving and the ability to process and analyze large data sets.
  • Process Optimization: Understanding Finance processes (e.g., budgeting, forecasting, planning, etc.), identifying areas for global process improvement, and collaborating with key stakeholders across the business to change/improve processes. Demonstrated strong project management capability with a process improvement mindset
  • Strategic Influence: Ability to effectively engage stakeholders  and change others' attitudes, behaviors, and decisions towards achieving desired outcomes through communication and engagement strategies. It involves strong communication, negotiation, influence, leadership skills, and the ability to adapt and collaborate with varying types of stakeholders.
  • Experience leading and delivering on projects spanning multiple teams.
  • Strong understanding of how the Enterprise and Group Finance organizations leverage the OneStream environment.

Preferred

  • 5+ years with people management experience

TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Required:

  • Financial Acumen - Possess an advanced understanding of financial principles 
  • Computer Applications – Proficient in Microsoft Office products - Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Experience working with OneStream, EPM, Oracle GL, or other financial systems
  • Leadership – Takes prompt action to achieve goals beyond what is required, is proactive.
  • Decision Making – Able to identify and understand issues, problems, or opportunities and develop appropriate solutions based on available facts, constraints and consequences.
