About the role

About our group:

 

This Device Physics R&D Intern position is located at Seagate's R&D site in Bloomington, MN. 

 

About the role - you will:

 

  • be expected to assess new reader technology by developing new models if necessary.

  • coordinate the work with their peer group and improve the existing reader model capability for product roadmap purposes. 

About you:

 

  • Good verbal and written communication skills are essential to this position. 

  • Prior intern experience is preferred but not required. 

Your experience includes:

 

  • Experience in Micromagnetic modeling 

  • Coding experience in Fortran 

  • Basic knowledge on magnetic recording 

  • Student pursuing a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
