EquipmentShare is searching for a Talent Acquisition Associate for our corporate office in Columbia, MO, to support our Recruitment team as the department continues to grow. We will be hiring one team member to be located within the Midwest region. Columbia, MO is the preferred location, but we will consider remote applicants who can travel to Columbia as necessary.
In this associate level position, the individual will be responsible for assisting the recruitment team in identifying and attracting top talent to meet the organization's staffing needs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Facilitates and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
- Collaborates with department managers to ensure job requirements are clearly and accurately defined.
- Develops a strong understanding of the company's culture, values, and goals to effectively communicate with candidates.
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Posts job openings on various job boards, social media platforms, and the company's website.
- Uses LinkedIn Recruiter and Handshake accounts for recruitment purposes.
- Reviews resumes and applications to assess qualifications and determine suitability for job positions.
- Selects qualified candidates and conducts phone screenings.
- Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Assists with the interview process, and ensures candidates are interviewed in a timely manner. Attends and conducts interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders as needed.
- Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer and pre-employment process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Provides an excellent candidate experience by communicating effectively and providing timely feedback.
- Maintains applicant tracking systems and updates candidate status as needed.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Assists with recruitment events, job fairs, and other recruiting initiatives.
- Stays current with recruiting trends, best practices, and industry developments to continuously improve recruitment efforts.
- Performs other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities
- 1+ years of Talent Acquisition experience
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems
Preferred Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- SHRM- CP or SHRM-SCP certification
- Proficiency with GSuite
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to travel to and from career fairs if needed
