ABOUT THE JOB

 

The Accounts Payable Lead is responsible for ensuring the timely payment of trade vendor invoices and processing and reconciling prepayments. This position also reconciles supplier statements and resolves processing issues.

 

WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE

 

  • Researches accounts payable issues and effectively communicates resolutions to leadership in a timely manner.
  • Reconciles vendor statements and accounts payable general ledger accounts.
  • Completes assignments according to schedule.
  • Monitors and schedules the team workload.
  • Trains and mentors team members.
  • Verifies correctness of information on accounts payable accrual at month end.
  • Processes payables reports as needed.
  • Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
  • Other work-related duties as assigned by leader.
  • Reliable and regular attendance is required.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

 

  • Associate's degree is preferred.
  • Five years of experience in accounts payable, invoice processing, research, reconciliation and analysis is required.

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to work independently in a leadership role.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented given the volume of documents.
  • High level of accuracy and commitment to following written processes.
  • Ability to adapt to and efficiently use an Oracle computerized payables system, Kofax, Markview or similar ERP systems.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment while maintaining quality.
  • Ability to use 10-key adding machine.
  • Typing skills.
  • Computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office are required.Ability to read, write and speak in English is required.
  • Communicating in Spanish is a valuable skill at Helena.
  Successful completion of a drug screen and background check is required for all positions at Helena.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ASPECTS OF THE JOB

 

The work environment for this position is that of a typical office environment where the noise level is mostly quiet. This position requires you to use your hands for many different tasks and to talk, hear, walk, stand and sit. You may be occasionally required to lift or move up to 10 pounds.
