About This Opportunity
We are seeking a SR Energy Efficiency Engineer to engage with our clients at a high level to assess their operations, identify opportunities, and provide recommendations to maximize energy efficiency and performance in industrial systems. The Sr Engineer takes the lead to consult, gather data, create optimization models of industrial systems and write feasibility reports for energy efficiency projects, while leading overall management of projects. The Sr. PE I provides mentorship and contributes to peer support and quality control reviews.

What You Will Be Doing:
• Leading, managing, and directing high-profile projects and maintaining accountability on assigned projects.
• Calculating energy savings for various system or equipment changes using existing calculation tools, original spreadsheets, and/or generally accepted methodologies.
• Engaging with clients at their industrial locations to gain a deeper understanding of their equipment and operations and identifying opportunities for energy efficiency, and providing recommendations.
• Fostering and growing client relationships and identifying opportunities that may result in generating significant new work from new and existing clients.
• Presenting complex technical issues with a diverse audience in a way that facilitates understanding and consensus
• Composing energy efficiency project reports based on analysis and observations.
• Documenting performance through data collection from customer sources or via installed data logging equipment.
• Maintaining a expert knowledge of utility programs and their compliance requirements.
• Providing peer mentorship through technical discussions and work review.
This is a full-time, exempt position to be located in the Los Angeles, CA area. There is no in-office requirement, but on-site work is required for SEM related activities.
Qualifications
Applicants for this role are required to have:
• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or a related field of study
• 5-8 years of engineering experience
• Expert technical knowledge of refrigeration, compressed air systems, steam systems, custom computer modeling of systems, electrical distribution system design, industrial control and data-logging of system results
