The Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to lead and perform high-complexity laboratory testing on clinical specimens. The role involves interpreting and reporting results in compliance with study protocols, regulatory guidelines, and operational manuals. You will contribute to both registrational and non-registrational clinical trials, organize and monitor experiments, and potentially serve as a Clinical Trial Coordinator. Collaboration with project leads and strategic guidance for junior scientists is expected. Flexibility and strong multitasking abilities are essential.

  • Clinical Testing & Documentation: Support the laboratory's role as a Clinical Testing Site by conducting Clinical Validation testing and ensuring accurate and compliant documentation, potentially acting as Study Coordinator.

  • Sample Management & Quality Control: Collaborate with Clinical Operations on sample management and critical evaluation of test results, ensuring compliance with established formats and regulatory guidelines.

  • Data Analysis & Communication: Analyze and interpret experimental data, communicate results, and present findings at internal meetings, while supporting troubleshooting and problem-solving activities.

  • Regulatory & Safety Compliance: Participate in regulatory audits and inspections, maintain compliance with safety guidelines, ISO, and QSR standards, and ensure documentation is inspection-ready.

  • Training & Coordination: Function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and trainer, develop training materials, and assist with project planning, scheduling, and laboratory maintenance oversight.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biological/Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field.     

  • 5 years required, 6 years preferred of relevant industry experience, including experience in participating clinical research work within a laboratory.

  • Experience documenting detailed Clinical Trial activities in Case Report Forms, Sample Accountability and Investigational Material Accountability Logs

  • Demonstrated laboratory skills (pipette handling, understanding protocols, proficiency with safely handling biological and potentially hazardous materials).

  • Proficient in spreadsheet and office programs (Microsoft Office and Google Suite)

  • Experience with using automated scientific analytic instrumentation.  (Strong preference for experience with Benchmark ULTRA and ULTRA Plus or DP200 and DP600 instruments.)

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Approximately 10% of domestic travel may be required.

Relocation is not available for this role.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Arizona is 65,500,00 - 121,600,00.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
