We are seeking an Emergency Management (EM) Response Professional at the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL), Edwards, AFB, CA.
Description:
ASRC Federal on the ASTROS contract supports Propulsion Research efforts in many areas. The ASTROS EM Response Professional will support efforts around the site in emergency preparedness and ensure our local team is trained and ready to perform. The EM Response Professional will serve as a resource to the test sites by ensuring great communication is taking place so the site leadership and the EM response team understand the support needed. The EM Response Professional must be a knowledgeable individual capable of managing complex emergency situations effectively.
Key Role:
• Maintain the certifications enabling the successful candidate perform training.
• Support a dynamic Contract that has multiple sites that are either in test or performing test build-up.
• Review the EM Program on a regular basis to ensure compliance with Air Force, state and federal regulations.
• Work with team and customer to plan training events and unscheduled drills.
• Work with test sites and understand their ability to support a response.
• Coordinate in the planning and upper-level communication of EM exercises to ensure the response teams and recovery teams are properly trained to respond.
• Ensure internal audits are performed to ensure inspections and maintenance is taking place on emergency equipment. Weather Towers, Breathing Air equipment and other lifesaving equipment as needed.
• Must be able to work out in the field performing reviews and monitoring work efforts.
• Review local Emergency Management plans, perform inspections and assist customers in being prepared.
• Must have excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to make professional presentations to the customer
• Must be punctual with attendance at the work site and reporting information to the customer
• May be required to serve as a back-up Site Operations Control Operator
Education/Experience:
• BS/BA Degree + 5-7 years of related experience or equivalent
• Technical Writing ability would be a plus
• Demonstrated increase in experience and abilities
Clearance:
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance required
