Project Overview:
Bechtel Supplier Quality & Expediting, Inc. provides project supplier quality and quality surveillance services, as well as area expediting and delivery managers to ensure delivery of materials is on time with zero defects.
Job Summary:
Job description includes Accounting and Project Controls duties, including analyzing and performing month end duties and preparing and managing the BSQE quarterly forecast, ensuring the proper review of subcontractor invoices and expense reports, ongoing review of commercial contracts, supervising junior employee(s) and completing any management requests. The Financial Accountant is the liaison between the field employees and Bechtel and guides the employees in completing timecards and expense reports. The successful candidate must have strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills, the ability to work independently, proven problem-solving abilities, and a can-do attitude. #LI-HB1
Major Responsibilities:
- Prepare internal, external and regulatory reports related to project financial operations on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis as required.
- Prepare estimates of costs and forecasts quarterly.
- Respond to all internal and external financial audit inquiries.
- Review Third Party Provider invoices for adherence to contract terms.
- Works cross functionally with project organizations to ensure accuracy of financial information.
- Assists with management decisions and activities.
- Supervises the work of Support-level or junior Professional personnel.
- Ensure all employee expense reports are reviewed for compliance to requirements.
- Provide analysis of commercial terms for third party provider contracts.
- Maintain performance measures for monitoring organizational performance.
- Manage BSQE customer experience with respect to billing.
- Provide guidance to M&BD for budgeting of BSQE.
- Work with Project Accountants, Project Controls and Business Managers of Bechtel projects to ensure proper recording of BSQE.
- Ensure all BSQE contract documents are adhered to and in conformance with the Master Agreement.
- Work with Tax Department and Financial Reporting with any questions from auditors.
- Work with Tax Department to ensure BSQE is compliant with tax laws.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.<
