Pratt & Whitney’s Military Engines team has a rare opportunity for the F135 Global Operations Center Manager (in-person) in Fort Worth, Texas.
As part of the F135 Sustainment Organization executing Performance Based Logistics Contracts, the Global Operations Center is responsible for ensuring 24/7 F-35 fleet supportability of the propulsion system and integration with all disciplines of the F135 value stream.
You will be the supervisor for the Fort Worth based element of the Global Operations Center and will utilize, work, and collaborate with the Wright-Patterson AFB Lightning Sustainment Center. Additionally, you will be responsible for integrating and supporting the F135 sustainment sub-domain out of East Hartford, CT and across field sites to drive closure to customer action requests.
This role includes direct senior level customer interaction with the Lightning Support Team (LST), Joint Program Office (JPO), JPO Lightning Sustainment Center (LSC) leadership and Lockheed Martin PSIC and Propulsion leads.
What You Will Do:
- Supervise employees that support fleet operations across multiple COCOMs
- Implement a structure across your team that fosters a proactive environment in order to meet internal and external customer deliverables
- Work with the F135 Lightning Sustainment Center through daily status meetings and communicate to PW customers in the USG as well as Lockheed Martin and Rolls-Royce to close out fleet action requests
- Support customers to ensure Action Request closure within the SLA (Service Level Agreement)
- Own Action Request (AR) Metrics Analysis to assist leadership with decision making
- Implement and lead process improvement engagements across the F135 sustainment sub-domain utilizing the RTX CORE Operating System
- Must acquire JCL2 export classifier status with training provided by PW Education Certification
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, logistics or management disciplines
- A minimum of 8+ Years of experience in fleet management/readiness support; OR an advanced degree and 5+ years of experience in fleet management/readiness support
- At least 4 years of managerial, supervisory or leadership experience required.
- 5+ years working in F135/F-35 program
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Self-Starter/Self-motivated
- Excellent presentation skills, project management, proficiency in fleet sustainment processes, and strong leadership skills are essential
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Familiar with F135 propulsion system
- You will have experience in, and be comfortable with, working in a high pressure, fast-paced environment
