Job Description
Role & Function
As the Senior Manager, Commercial Insights, your strategic responsibilities will include delivering actionable insights that fuel performance. Operational responsibilities include primary market research, competitive intelligence, forecasting, and business understanding of Key Performance Indications facilitate decision making. This position will support the US Hematology Franchise.
**Please note this is a remote position with occasional travel to our Waltham/Durham offices. Candidate should live on the East Coast.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically, to build alliance cross-functionally, and the flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Partner with franchise teams to guide market research efforts, including providing results associated with strategic implications to the key internal stakeholders.
- Act as CI expert, demonstrating awareness and understanding of appropriate CI applications and key internal and external data/information sources.
- Lead thinking and support for data and analytical requirements for key business projects
- Own the forecasting model and have an understanding of rationale behind current assumptions for both short term and long-term forecasts.
- Be the single point of contact for Franchise Leadership by understanding business performance and insight generation.
- Partner with franchise leaders and cross functional partners to understand trends, root cause, countermeasures and improvement.
- Partner with cross functional commercial colleagues to provide compliant insights on both pre-determined needs and proactively identifying emerging needs and opportunities.
- Communicate clearly and concisely complex analyses to all levels of the organization
- Deep dive analysis in secondary analytics as required to uncover and understand market and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities and risks in a timely manner.
- Partner with Global Competitive Intelligence and Market Research stakeholders to minimize overlap and optimize investment.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; within a life science related discipline preferred
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the pharma/biotech industry in a commercial or consulting role
- Understanding of pharmaceutical datasets (i.e. IQVIA, Symphony Health, Komodo Health)
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional colleagues and leadership teams to drive results in a matrixed management operating environment.
- Excellent strategy, planning and execution skills with proven ability to prioritize work to drive results
- Highly developed commercial and business acumen; an ability to recognize growth and profitability opportunities and capitalize on them
- Ability to understand, analyze and assimilate complex issues, draw correct conclusions and formulate clear strategy and policies
- Analytical reasoning abilities, intellectual curiosity, strong business acumen, and creativity in problem solving
- Ability to interact effectively with, and present verbally and in writing to, all levels of the organization
- Experience with Tableau is preferred.
- Experience working in a highly matrixed environment and standing out as a successful collaborator
