We are seeking a highly organized and proactive R&D Grants Director to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our internal response to funding calls and ensuring that we successfully secure grants to support our business initiatives.
This position is part of the Chief Technology Office and will be fully remote role with the expectation of US travel. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
What you’ll do
- Monitor and identify relevant funding calls and grant opportunities that align with Cytiva’s strategic goals.
- Develop and lead the internal response process for funding calls, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, finance, legal, and business development, to gather necessary information and documentation for grant applications.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive grant application calendar, tracking deadlines, and submission requirements.
- Prepare and review grant proposals, ensuring compliance with funding guidelines and alignment with the company’s objectives.
- Facilitate internal meetings to discuss funding opportunities, application strategies, and progress updates.
- Liaise with funding agencies and external partners to clarify requirements and gather additional information as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of all grant applications, submissions, and outcomes.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the status of grant applications and funding opportunities.
- Assist in the preparation of post-award reports and ensure compliance with funding agency requirements.
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as life sciences, business administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in grant writing, project management, or a related role within the life sciences industry.
- Proven track record of successfully securing grants and funding in life sciences working for life sciences research institutions, universities or private companies operating in the space.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Advanced degree in life sciences, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience working in a global or multinational organization.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the context of grant funding.
The salary range for this role is $150-175K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and Retirement Benefits to eligible employees.
