Sanctuary is currently recruiting for a Senior Personal Assistant to support the Group Director responsible for the Group’s Technology function, which is focused on enabling our teams to deliver for our customers. The successful candidate will join an established and supportive PA community, providing an effective secretarial service to support the Chief Information Officer, acting as their first point of contact, and proactively managing and prioritising all administrative aspects of their office.

 

The ideal candidate will have significant experience as a Personal Assistant, and have a highly professional approach, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of people at all levels of the organisation. Previous experience working with a Technology director or department would be beneficial but not essential.

 

 

The role of Senior Personal Assistant will include:

  • Deliver, coordinate, maintain and monitor an effective high quality secretarial service.
  • Prepare and present information, clearly and concisely, to communicate key business messages.
  • Communicate effectively and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure any issues are identified and dealt with appropriately.
  • Prepare for, attend and take minutes at meetings to ensure effective organisation and record keeping.
  • Organise and coordinate successful events to meet business requirements.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating special projects as agreed with the Chief Information Officer ensuring deadlines are met and objectives are achieved.
  • Manage department communications plan.
  • Supervise staff effectively to ensure high levels of service delivery in line with business needs.

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Literacy and numeracy equivalent to passes in GCSE English and Maths
  • Proven experience of providing secretarial support to senior level executive(s) and undertaking a similar role
  • Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
  • Excellent understanding of written and spoken English
  • Ability to stay calm and constructive in emergencies
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer care skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word
  • Basic Microsoft Excel
  • Intermediate Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Email and internet communications

  • Role salary is £31,611 with an additional policy allowance of £3,161 per annum (rising to £33,275 with an additional policy allowance of £3,327 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
