About the role

  • Lead, supervise, and schedule maintenance staff to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with quality and company standards.   
  • Ensure maintenance personnel are properly equipped and trained, including the use of PPE, tools, and safety protocols.   
  • Optimize preventive maintenance programs and drive improvements in predictive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime while minimizing costs.   
  • Serve as the primary technical expert and troubleshooter for equipment and production machinery issues.   
  • Manage all facility-related maintenance activities including electrical, plumbing, roofing, carpentry, and general repairs.   
  • Oversee setup and breakdown of facility spaces for events and operational needs.   
  • Conduct quality control checks on maintenance work to ensure compliance with standards.   
  • Coordinate and prioritize work orders with other departments, promoting collaboration and clear communication across teams.   
  • Support achievement of plant-wide and departmental performance goals.   
  • Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and maintain effective working relationships with union personnel.   
  • Address personnel issues, investigate concerns, and recommend corrective actions when needed.   
  • Maintain a visible presence on the production floor and be available to respond to emergencies, including off-hours if necessary.   
  • Lead root cause analyses for equipment failures and implements corrective actions to prevent recurring downtime.
