About the role
A Technical Sales Advisor collaborates closely with sales representatives, account managers, and customers, offering technical advice to customers. Communication and presentation skills, coupled with a profound technical expertise, are critical for success. Additionally, a sense of organization, coupled with the ability to thrive in both team settings and autonomously, is required. The position reports directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing Business Unit Solar Energy.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $106,250
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Demonstrates Fronius’ technical solutions and capabilities to customers via meetings, presentations, and hands-on technical trainings
- Works closely with sales representatives and account managers to provide technical knowledge in complex sales opportunities and account plans
- Reviews customer’s solar system designs and single line diagrams and consult them on best practices with Fronius solutions
- Supports existing Fronius Solutions Providers (solar installers) with expert level technical knowledge for new projects
- Provides customers with the most up-to-date technical information regarding Fronius products and solutions to ensure Fronius is the inverter supplier of choice
- Provides technical information on Fronius solutions to solar installers who are interested in Fronius products and capabilities
- Provides frequent feedback to the Sales and Engineering teams on new products, new features, prices, customer feedback, competitors, market trends, etc.
- Collaborates with Product Marketing and Trainings & Education on the creation of new technical content, such as presentations and trainings
- Identifies potential prospects (solar installers) who can be funneled into our sales process
- Routinely updates CRM, keeping accurate records of customer contact and project information
- Participates in trade shows and events to provide technical advice and product information to customers and prospects
- Represents Fronius in a professional image and promote long-term partnerships within the Solar Energy industry
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in electrical engineering required
- Experience in technical advice and product trainings
- Knowledge of NEC Code, UL, and IEEE Solar PV standards
- Formal solar training or NABCEP Entry Level certification recommended
- 2+ years of Solar PV installation experience preferred
- Experience in technical support recommended
- Regular travel required
- Must possess or obtain a valid passport
- Authorization to work in the USA required
- Valid motor vehicle license necessary
- Excellent documentation skills for meeting summaries, technical notes, and customer feedback
- Comfortable interacting with stakeholders from sales, technical, and operations
- Passion for innovation in renewable energy
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build customer rapport
- Positive, energetic attitude with technical aptitude
- Strategic and goal-oriented mindset
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
